DIRECTOR

BENJAMIN BUTTS, PT, DPT, OCS, SCS
Regional Director

Ben Butts is the Regional Director of Outpatient Rehabilitation Services for Interstate Rehab and DynamX Therapy. Prior to that, he was director of Rehabilitation Services at Providence Saint John’s Health Center. A board-certified orthopedic and sports specialist, Ben has lectured at California State University, Long Beach. Ben has worked with patients referred from the top orthopaedic surgeons in Los Angeles and Orange County including Cedars' Sinai Kerlan-Jobe Institute, OSI, Marina Spine Center, USC, UCLA, SCOI, and many more. Ben earned his bachelor’s degree in kinesiology with a concentration in exercise science from California State University, Long Beach and his doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Southern California. He was one of the first graduates of the University’s Sports Residency Program. During the residency program, he served as the team physical therapist for the L.A. Sparks and West L.A. Junior College.

BUENA PARK

CARLY HARRIS, PT, DPT, FAFS
Physical Therapist

Carly Harris is a physical therapist at DynamX Physical Therapy. Carly earned both her bachelor’s degree in exercise science and kinesiology and doctorate of physical therapy from California State University, Long Beach. She was a student athlete who competed in track and field cross country, steeple chase and the 5k. After graduation, she was assistant coach for the California State University, Long Beach track and field program for over a year. Her areas of clinical experience include orthopedic and sports physical therapy treating total joint replacements, and lower extremity injuries. She completed a 12-week internship at Casa Colina in the Transitional Living Center for stroke, brain injury, and spinal cord injury patients. She completed the fellowship in Applied Functional Science through the Gray Institute, which honed her skills in biomechanical movement analysis and allows her to create functional exercise programs for patients of all skill levels.

EVAN PHAM, PT, DPT, CAFS
Physical Therapist

Evan Pham is a physical therapist at DynamX Physical Therapy. He was born and raised in Orange County actively participating in sports particularly swimming. Evan’s time in swimming had led to injuries of his own which led to him requiring physical therapy. His successful recovery and return to swimming drove him to help others through rehabilitation and education. Evan earned his bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences with a minor in Psychology from the University of California, Irvine and received his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of St. Augustine, San Marcos. He is certified in Applied Functional Science. He has clinical experience in orthopedics, treating total joint replacements, and sports injuries. He has also completed an 8-week acute care internship at the Veteran’s Administration in Portland, Oregon for post-surgical and cardiac patients. Evan enjoys an outdoor lifestyle. He can be found in the pool or the ocean swimming, hiking, running, or taking road trips.

ANGEL RAMIREZ, PTA, CAFS, CSCS
Physical Therapist Assistant

Angel Ramirez earned his bachelor’s degree in Natural Science from Loyola Marymount University (LMU). He graduated from the Cerritos College Physical Therapist Assistant program. He is currently taking prerequisites to continue to earn his Doctorate of Physical Therapy. He is a certified strength and conditioning specialist with the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He is certified in Applied Functional Science. Angel was a student athlete at LMU and played rugby abroad in France and the Cayman Islands. He completed an 8-week clinical internship at Rancho Los Amigos Rehabilitation Center and worked with stroke, brain injury, and spinal cord injury patients. He enjoys creating custom functional exercise programs and restoring function for patients of all skill levels. He has a passion for treating orthopedic and sports injuries for the general population.

SAN MARINO

TIMOTHY LIM, PT, DPT
Physical Therapist

Timothy Lim is a physical therapist at DynamX Physical Therapy. He earned his bachelor’s degree in molecular, cell, developmental Biology from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and a doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Southern California (USC). Tim has had a lot of different clinical experiences including: Pediatrics, Inpatient, ICU, Outpatient Orthopedics, and Hand Therapy. He has also completed a 16-week clinical internship at Keck Hospital of USC where he worked in the Neuro ICU and with patients of various neurologic disorders, including spinal cord injury, stroke, and traumatic brain injury. He also completed a 16-week clinical at LAC+USC Medical Center, where he worked with a variety of orthopedic conditions, both post-surgical and non-surgical. Tim loves getting people back to living life and enjoying the things they love to do. When he is not in the clinic, he can be found playing basketball and rooting for the Lakers.

Physical Therapist

Brent McMahon is a physical therapist at DynamX Physical Therapy. He received his bachelor's degree in therapeutic exercise and rehabilitation from California State University Los Angeles and his doctorate in physical therapy from Western University. e to do. When he is not in the clinic, he can be found playing basketball and rooting for the Lakers.

SANTA MONICA

ANTHONY J. WARE, PT, DPT, OCS, SCS
Clinic Manager

Anthony Ware is the clinic manager at DynamX Physical Therapy Santa Monica. Anthony is a certified specialist in both orthopedics and sports physical therapy. He earned his doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Southern California, where he also completed his residency in sports physical therapy. During residency he had the pleasure to learn and work with several athletes at all levels including; Culver City High School, West Los Angeles College, Loyola Marymount University, the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, and the Los Angeles Sparks. Anthony is a former Minor League Baseball player who played with the Detroit Tigers organization. After his playing career, he earned his bachelor’s of science degree from Loyola Marymount University, as part of the Major League Baseball’s scholarship program. He continues to work with LMU in its sports medicine department providing physical therapy services to its student athletes and has lectured on sports medicine for the health and human sciences program.

JOHN SOBERAL, PT, DPT, FAFS
Physical Therapist

John Soberal is a physical therapist at DynamX Physical Therapy Santa Monica. He earned his doctorate of physical therapy degree from Massachusetts General Hospital’s Institute of Health Professions in Boston, Massachusetts. While in his physical therapy program at MGHIHP, his clinical rotations included time at various sports and orthopedic clinics in the Boston area, where he worked with a diverse patient population including high school athletes. He also had a clinical rotation at Spaulding Hospital Cambridge, where he treated patients on an oncology and medically complex unit. Juan received his bachelor’s degree in applied health with an emphasis in physical therapy at Azusa Pacific University, where he played four years of collegiate baseball. His clinical interests include orthopedic and sports physical therapy applying manual therapy, therapeutic and functional based exercises. He completed the fellowship of applied functional science with the Gray Institute, allowing him to specialize in assessment, rehabilitation, training and conditioning, and injury prevention.

KRISTA SCHOFIELD, MOTR/L, CHT
Occupational Therapist/Certified Hand Therapist

Kristin Scholfield is an occupational therapist with DynamX Physical Therapy. She also practices with Providence Saint John's Health Center's Performance Therapy. Continually working to advance her clinical knowledge in hand therapy and the treatment of upper extremity injuries and disorders, Krista earned her hand therapy certification from the Hand Therapy Certification Commission. Krista earned a degree in kinesiology from Kansas State University and her master's degree in occupational therapy from Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Mo. She has worked extensively with hand surgeons and shares her broad knowledge of hand treatment and splinting by providing workshop instruction. Krista also participates in community education to provide information on arthritis and injury prevention.
